This elegant animated film so clearly lays out the three act structure in one succinct scene, plus a "cliffhanger" ending...

All this, while subtly delivering a compelling message, without spoon feeding the audience.

Because a story can seem simple, people often forget that story is architecture, which is, at its core, math and engineering... But rather than numbers and physics, the quotients of filmmaking are plot, character motivation and conflict.

Sometimes, allowing oneself to admit that engineering can be difficult, helps keep those writing blocks or frustrations in perspective. It should be no surprise that the brain might hurt a bit when trying to create, no engineer, a truly solid story foundation...
